Founded in 2000 by President Frank Piazza, Legal Audio uses digital technology to help you manage and present your audio and video evidence for litigation and trial. We digitize and enhance audio, edit and enhance video, authenticate tape recordings and provide expert testimony.
Analog to Digital Conversion
The key to managing recorded evidence is converting it to a digital file (wav, aiff, mpeg, avi). We process original evidence in many formats including audio cassette, micro cassette, CD, DVD, VHS and miniDV cassette. The resulting digital files can be reviewed on a CD/DVD player or any computer using Windows Media Player, Real Player and/or QuickTime. The digital format has many benefits; one of the most important is the ease of locating and playing needed passages.
Restoration and Enhancement
The digital format also makes it possible to extract conversations from recordings contaminated with tape noise, distortion, telephone interference, machinery and everyday street sounds. Using customized software, we can enhance the audio and bring clarity to hard to understand dialog. This is critical for making accurate transcripts. But don't take our word for it: listen to a few samples of what we can do.
Converting to digital also enables us to extract images from video footage allowing us to enhance, resize and color-correct each new file. Whether the footage is government surveillance, security camera, mobile dvr or time-lapse video, we have the background and experience to work with all formats.

Courtroom Presentation
Of course, we're not just technical experts. We have the creative background and practical understanding of legal presentations to turn your fear of today's wired courtroom into the power of advantage. We'll show you how to make computer monitors in the jury box, video screens, audio video networks, servers, and sound systems work to your benefit. Ask us about Synchronized Video Transcripts: a powerful tool enabling you to easily access, edit, and present critical information from taped depositions which are compatible with most trial presentation software programs.
