Audio Demo: You Be the Judge
We know you'll be convinced after listening to the enhancement examples below. The first audio sample represents a 10 second segment of a surreptitiously recorded conversation by the F.B.I. among several people sitting around a table in a noisy restaurant. The "before" file is a digital copy of the original file. The "after" file is the same 10 second segment after electronic enhancement in our studio laboratory. We were able to lift out the voices and lower the background ambience.

Original Recording Enhanced Recording

This next example is a poorly recorded phone conversation between two men. The voices are uneven and a "hum" is present throughout. The "before" file is a digital copy of the original. The "after" file is that same file after enhancement. We were able to reduce the distortion on the voices and remove the annoying telephone humming noise.

The almost magical enhancement samples you witnessed above is par for the course at Legal Audio. Of course, not all tapes can be enhanced -- some are too badly damaged and some contain unusual noises that can't be diminished or eliminated -- but most can be significantly improved. Our studio laboratory has the latest equipment and software for noise reduction via filtering, equalization and waveform and spectrographic analysis. Our background as skilled audio engineers gives us an advantage when If it's possible to make your body wire, surveillance tape, wiretap or other noisy recorded evidence intelligible, Legal Audio can do it. We invite you to call (212-873-8772) or email us for specific advice about your tape.
